30 Days Down!

Stefan and I just celebrated our One Month Anniversary on June 6th.  Can I just say how much I love this boy? He always does what it takes to make our days special.  But more importantly.. he remembers EVERY important date. I had plans to surprise Stefan when he got home from work and take him on a picnic up the canyon, but just as usual, the weather ruined everything.  Stefan arrived home earlier than usual which was just as good, maybe even better, than any present he could get me.  He came in the door, kissed me and then disappeared.  I was distracted baking him pumpkin chocolate-chip cookies so I didn't really notice.  Later he came back into the kitchen holding his pillow and said "I love this pillow." I was still focusing on recipes and baking so I didn't think anything of his random comment or the fact that he was walking around with a pillow like a little toddler?.. Then he laid down on the couch and told me to come take a nap with him.  Even though I was still mid-baking, I decided to go snuggle with my handsome hubby.  I lay my head down on his pillow, only to find that the pillow inside the pillowcase had been replaced with gifts! I pulled out 3 wrapped presents.  I love that even though we don't have a lot of money, Stefan put so much thought into my gifts! The first was a journal.  He had watched me over the last few months as I resorted to writing in an old Institute journal.  He knew how badly I needed a new one.  The second was a box of candles.. for intimate purposes duh. (; The third was a new pair of headphones.  He remembered that on our honeymoon I busted mine.  What a cutie. Yet there was still another surprise.. A coupon for a free movie night.  So for our Anniversary Date Night we went and saw Kung Fu Panda 2 at the theater.

Notice the intricate detailing? He is one talented artist!

My gift was corny, but Stefan's birthday is right around the corner and I'm getting him something a little on the pricey end so I decided to not spend any money on his anniversary gift.  I printed off some 'Love Coupons' online and gave him some sweet vouchers! Haha, along with a heartfelt note expressing my love and appreciation for him.

He truly is the best and I am blessed to have such a Christ-like person as my husband.  The more time I spend married to him, the more I realize just how perfect he is.

One Month!
